description: This
practical one-day course will offer participants numerous ways of working
with Traditional Tales that will bring the stories to life in ways that
will increase children's enjoyment and understanding of such texts.
There will be opportunities to look at and evaluate an extensive range
of texts and a wide variety of related resources; as well as the opportunity
to engage in some practical activities.

for: Foundation,
KS 1 & 2 classroom teachers, library co-ordinators and support assistants
Tutor:
Helen Bromley is a freelance consultant and writer. Helen has taught
in the early years for 16 years before working as an advisory teacher
in a wide variety of settings. She spent three years as an advisory
teacher with the Centre for Literacy in Primary Education, in the London
Borough of Southwark.
