Course
description: This
half day session will look at the wide range of skills and the strategic
thinking needed by the multi-tasking library manager/librarian who is
on the front line but needs the management overview to think and act
strategically and to promote the importance of the LRC to all and everyone.
Suitable
for: Secondary
school librarians, Head of sixth form and other departments, and any
other interested staff.
Tutor:
Geoff Dubber is a freelance consultant/trainer working in the UK and
further afield to promote effective library use. He has over 35 years
teaching, management, library and advisory experience with schools,
both secondary and primary. He is currently Vice Chair of the School
Library Association and Chair of the SLA's School Librarian of the Year
panel for 2006/7. He is author of many of the SLA's Guidelines series.
He writes and reviews for the School Librarian.
