Course
description: This
half day session will look at the issues facing reluctant readers and
suggest resources and practical ideas to motivate them and convince
them that reading is 'cool'!
This training is provided thanks to the generosity of Barrington Stoke,
publishers of books for dyslexic, struggling and reluctant readers,
who are celebrating their 10th birthday this year. Their books can be

Suitable
for: Special
school teachers and special needs co-ordinators KS2/3/4
Tutor:
Julia Rowlandson. Julia gained her experience as Deputy head of a specialist
boys' school and in her time as Education Director of Barrington Stoke.
She lectures widely on a range of SpLD issues and is currently working
on the 'No to failure' project, identifying children in Yr 3 and 7 who
are at risk of failing.
