a single programme to introduce a particular topic, a range of programmes
to support a course of work, or material on an area of the curriculum
that is proving difficult to resource, copies of programmes from our
extensive collection of educational broadcasts are available for purchase.

Video Resources available for purchase
This collection
consists of over 9000 programmes recorded from BBC1, BBC2 (including
the Learning Zone), ITV and CH4, along with programmes from other broadcasters,
and from the digital "Freeview" channels. The collection covers
material to support Early Years through to the Secondary Curriculum,
as well as Special Educational Needs, Modern Foreign Languages, Revision
and INSET.
· Copies
can be made to meet your specific requirements, from single programmes,
whole series, a unit of programmes from within a series, or on a particular
subject from a variety of sources.
· Copies for purchase are made to order from our master recordings,
they are not drawn from our former loan stock.
· Subject or series lists are available upon request.
· A list of all the programmes we hold is available upon request.
· Separate lists for the Modern Foreign Languages, Revision and
INSET programmes are also available upon request.

out what is available
Some idea of the scope of material available can be had from the alphabetic
listing on this website, but for more comprehensive information, particularly
on specific topics and recent additions, as well as on age, content
and suitability, please ring the Video Loan Service at the SLS on 01707
281630 or fax SLS on 01707 281611. To search the online catalogue EITHER
from the SLS home page use the sls google search box by typing in a
subject (e.g. Scotland) or title (e.g. Ane
End To Ane Auld Sang); OR from within each alphabetic page list select
the Edit Menu, then Find (on this page) and type in your
search phrase.
Licensing
This service is available
to all Schools, Resource or Advisory Centres and Local Authorities covered
by the Educational Recording Agency (ERA) licence. We reserve the right
to check whether a particular institution is covered by a current, valid
licence and in cases of doubt we will not supply materials until it
can be clearly established that this condition has been met.
